Heating and Cooling

What is it about apartment heating in Boston that, when you are curled up under your comforter with your warm boyfriend, that is when your heat clicks on, forcing you to throw off said covers and poke said warm boyfriend over to his side of the bed? Whereas you spent the entire day before this shivering under a fleece blanket, wearing a sweatshirt, pajama pants and even (*gasp*) socks? WTF heat? On during the day, lower at night!
